The Guardior Security team embrace the Construction Industry Training Board’s Covid-19 e-course.
This new training is designed to strengthen the ongoing pandemic preparedness by enabling supervisors and managers to safeguard their projects against Covid-19 as far as reasonably practicable. The course outlines measures to combat the virus by understanding how the virus spreads. It helps the participants understand and implement social distancing measures, provides an outline to the current legislative guidance, and gives an understanding of risk management.
This training is particularly useful to the Guardior Security team, as they are currently providing Covid Marshalls across many of the construction projects that it operates on. The training gives clear guidance to managers and supervisors as to how best to set up, manage and maintain a Covid secure project.
The standard was based on the Construction Leadership Council’s (CLC) Site Operating Procedures with input from industry employers, and was developed into an e-course through the summer of 2020.
Braden Connolly, CITB Director of Products and Services, said:
“We’re providing this pandemic site operating e-course as part of CITB’s support for construction employers at this time.
“Industry has told us that updating lapsed qualifications amid Covid-19 is a priority. We launched online e-learning courses earlier this year as an alternative to face-to-face training, so that construction workers can learn at their own pace, at any time, remotely.
“Making sure that everyone has access to this information could not be more important, which is why we have made it free and accessible to all.”
All Guardior Security supervisors and managers have, or are currently completing this training, and will be presented with a certificate upon successful completion.
